Altivolo Privacy Policy

Altivolo is a browser extension that adds comfort and value scores to Google Flights results in your browser. We do not require an account.

What data we handle

Preferences (stored locally)

Scoring presets and display settings (for example theme, clock format, length units, and colour labels) are stored in your browser using chrome.storage.local. They are not synced across devices by Altivolo and are not uploaded to an Altivolo server.

Website content from Google Flights (processed on-device)

When you open Google Flights, flight information already shown on that page (and related shopping responses used to build the results list) is processed on your device to compute scores and show the overview tooltip. We do not send your flight searches to an Altivolo server.

How we use data

Data is used only to provide Altivolo’s single purpose: scoring and explaining Google Flights results in your browser according to your preferences. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs in the extension. We do not sell user data. We do not use data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

Sharing

We do not sell or transfer your flight searches or preferences to third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes. When you open a score tooltip, airline logos may load from Google’s gstatic CDN using an IATA airline code only. We do not operate a booking backend.

Page message bus

Shopping responses are parsed in the page and a minimal parsed itinerary list is passed to the extension content script via the page message bus. Other scripts or extensions on the same page could observe that bridge.

Security

Scoring and preference storage happen locally in your browser. We do not transmit flight search data to an Altivolo backend.

Your choices

Disable or remove the Altivolo extension in your browser (chrome://extensions or the equivalent in Edge) to stop capture, scoring, and local preference use by Altivolo. You can also clear extension storage via your browser’s site/extension settings.
